Mama's Love Poem by Vivian Nkem

There is nothing like her love
Love so complete and strong
She does all she can
To help you stand
She did her best to raise a baby
Into a strong man and a virtuous lady
Your name is not far from her thoughts
Cos you are one special thing in her world
She takes your weakness and makes you strong
She gives you that sweet cuddle you want
Watched you asleep on your cradle bed
To be sure there was nothing more you needed
So she could do something else
Or perhaps take a rest


Her tender chest…….
Always there to lay your head
Mama, I know sometimes you wondered if it was ever going to end
Raising your wonderful children
Like a song writer said
"Your love is like tears from the sky"
Your love makes me feel like a candle light in the dark
Thank you for loving me the way I am
She could say, "I love pizza"
Or, "I love my car"
"But loving you is like food for my heart"



To every mother that might hear these words
One day, you'll look and your baby would be grown
You won't find all the years that's gone
Now that you have a chance
You better make it last
And to every child that needs a mother
God is there to be more than a mother
His love is refreshingly sweeter
Like drinking from the spring of fresh waters
