Maria Aline Poem by Marina Pascal

Maria Aline

If I should write
a million poem
all of which
would be famous,
still my heart
would not content
as my poems
would be incomplete,
like a jig-saw puzzle
missing a piece -

if no mention
whatsoever
in a verse
be referred
to my late grandmother
whom I loved
above all others
in this world.

So to you,
Marie Aline,
I dedicate
this little poem -
praying hard
that in the
next world
we will meet again
somehow.
