Martyr Of Solace Poem by Jevon Wray

Martyr Of Solace

I always had a lot to say

When I spoke from the heart,

Noone ever listened to my dismay

Will they miss me when I depart

When? Not today,

Not tomorrow,

But from where are

The time is not so far.

From here I can see the storm

In the distance are doom lurks beneath the undertow

Technicolor beam burts from kaleidescopic spirals,

Beneath the blue I see the pearlescent marvel take form

To witness that which once was

And that which will be again and again.

Long ago it breathed life into empty vessels,

We're so curious,

Then again it molded us with knowledge,

Letters and numbers,

We're so oblivious,

Our fore fathers paid their homage

To the fathers of time,

The beginning to our lineage.

Knowledge is power,

Age old proverb shown us truth

The truth from which we all still cower

The soil worked mind created purpose,

The tools of power showed worth.

Now with illumination we grow,

No longer a seed planted in the earth.

With great power comes great responsibilty,

The likes to which must be used in humility,

The weakness that compels us in futility,

Removed by choice only few have the ability,

A soldier of fortune left his heart behind willingly

To embrace his new purpose completely.

A soldier on the front line..

Lead not by orders from man, but from mind

Lead not into the fray completely blind

A defender of the light, for its purpose is to shine

The time is not now, but it is nigh

And I will fight for you even if this means I must die

For you all, I will no longer cry.

In patience I have found myself in new depths

Clearing out the darkness that I once kept

Fulfilling my quintesstial need to evolve,

Peer through the lies and absolve,

Now only my light is left,

I am ready for my death,

This was and will forever be,

The last time that Jesus wept.
