Mascot Of Absence Poem by Naima khlifi

Mascot Of Absence

No perfume
for your delayed rendezvous
Oh you! that Your presence
IS the vase of hue
Thus, I'll love your blue shadow
that carries me lightly as a blue..
to the mystical heavens..
pregnant
of the past prayers'dew
when invaded
by the longing billow
the sea vanishes
And all what remains is your shadow
a meadow like..
where flowers and jade overflow
Let it be
my divine sky
when springy evenings blow

Or let it be a rainy wing
sheathing me in times of dryness
Washing out the tormented soul
of the sore pinned wishes
As well, the withering seasons
will it revive the gale of madness
your sudden fabled presence
Will it revert to my earthen lips
the eagerness to sing?
