Maybe It Shall Rain
Maybe it shall rain
with drops upon my pane
and I shall finger them from inside
and feel the likeness to how I cried.
But rain will stop and tears will too.
It will be hard for me to view
my window pane without touching it
and it will be a chore for me to sit
and wait for raindrops on my pane
without remembering every stain
of drops and tears that came to me
and prove that they still can be
hurtful.
