Maybe One Day Life Will Slow Down For Us (Shakespearean Sonnet) ? Poem by Edwin Tanguma

Maybe One Day Life Will Slow Down For Us (Shakespearean Sonnet) ?

Maybe One Day Life Will Slow Down For Us (Shakespearean Sonnet) ?

If we had wings we could fly far away
Unto an island where we'd be alone
We could be like children and play all day
Without a computer or a cell phone

How are your feelings would you join me there
And leave modern society behind
I could grow a beard and even long hair
Not worrying about the daily grind

Wouldn't it be like going back in time
When everyday life was so much simpler
And a public phone booth call cost a dime
Nowadays things move so fast life's a blur

Maybe one day life will slow down for us
If it ever happens I will not fuss
