Love can be a very cruel thing
It can hurt you it can help you
Im sorry that I can't be what you want me to be
I'm sorry I don't know exactly what i want

But most of all I'm sorry that things went downhill
On & off for a year
Back & forth always bringing tears
No one can ever see my battle wounds

Why can't things work
I can't open up
You want change
Sadly we got it

Just not the way we planned
Nothing ever goes the way it's supposed to
But maybe one day everything will be ok
And we can be whole once again
