Mayday Monroe Poem by Harlequin Rose

Mayday Monroe

Rating: 5.0

It was later in the evening
when she discovered her addiction
and now she stands accused of the things she said
here, on her chosen battlefield
civil blood turns opiates to fiction
and she will never see with virgin eyes again.

I love Marilyn. The more years she's gone, the more I seem to feel her absence.
