They had a meeting in my brain
Impatience got there first
Followed soon by Fear and Joy
Then Anger - saying a curse

Happiness was there on time
With Optimism in tow
Selfishness took three whole seats
And Apathy didn't show

Love said, "don't confuse me with
The one who enters next"
Then Lust came in, but just before
Confusion, quite perplexed

Wisdom arrived, so dignified
She took her own sweet time
Which made poor old Frustration mad
"Make way for me! ", He chimed

They settled down and got to work-
The arduous task at hand
Was to decide once and for all
Just who was in command

At first the tone was one of grace
Each smiled and took their turn
But then Frustration threw a punch
And Anger really burned

Joy and Happiness were topped
By Fear, for he was tough
Impatience said, Let's solve this now! "
Sweet Wisdom yelled "Enough! "

Anger stood and threw a chair
Love never had a chance
Selfishness didn't help her up
- Just gave a sideways glance

And to this day their fight goes on
To see who rules all things
Though if I had to choose myself-
Confusion is the King!
