Melancholic Life Of An Arenophile Poem by Yiennarda Enk

Melancholic Life Of An Arenophile

Sands of time in a life untamed
At a whirlwind place you came
I have the world in my hand
I was so taut but you made me bend

My eyes got blistered with so much dust
I got swayed it’s not just lust
The lies just got so believable
Seems forever was so reachable

While dust covered my sanity
The affection swelled intensely
Can’t help it, just can’t purge it
Even the vastness of Sahara can’t contain it

I’ve let you unearth my whole being
I shared with you my deepest dreams
I treasured moments while I let time stand still
You said the oasis is just so near

But you went out, you said goodnight
I spent shivering alone in the cold, oh so cold night
Your breathe, your whispers, your touch & your grin
Blown by Anemoi with his gusts of wind

You said good night my love…
Time to go, I reckon you mumbled
But why did you leave me while I was asleep?
My heart filled with sand, do I just have to keep?
