Melancholy Sky Poem by Thaddeus Shane Whittington

Melancholy Sky

The stars dance across the melancholy sky...The wind whispers at me, the when the where the why. The vast expanse beckons me take flight and disappear in it's maw, no rabbits foot no four leaf clover only the monkey's paw. Ran through the five steps to try to reach these stars, to loose my grasp and fall from heaven once more yet again. The past the present and the future to my will it must bend. I step forward into the fray...wordless thoughts in my mind they stray.
