Melodies Of Love Poem by Abdul Hakeem Parannur

Melodies Of Love

In a fine evening
When the hills wore purple hue
I was walking,
Along a bend less road,
Thinking the beauty of the day.
Suddenly I saw her
Coming against me
In her green garbs
With gentle paces and face.
A nameless fear caught me
Though I was quivering
I tried to speak to her.
Calling her name; she looked at me.
I saw two oceans in her eyes.
Those deep seas told me,
The stories of love.
The silence knitted
Legends of dreams.
She told me nothing,
And me too
For we know we’re in love.
My heart sang madrigals
On the love of two birds
No one heard the melodies
For it was the songs of hearts.
