Memories Poem by Suraj Motiwala

Memories

Rating: 4.0

The smiles you smiled since you were a child,
The tears you shed for the things you cant get,
The stories you hear, the songs you sing,
The feelings you feel the people you know.
Family with whom old you grow,
Friends with whom pictures of happiness you draw,
Tress you climb, the knees you bruise, your dreams to fly.
Except their memories, all will dry.

All these days which come and go,
All these memories which inside us flow,
Are the only things which in the dark hours of sadness will set aglow.
For memories are treasures, priceless for none but you.
Have the best of them, even if few.
Doesn't matter what you go through,
Let the world be against you,
Even if you lose or you have to crawl,
let your hopes be tall, after all,
Life consists of memories of walks and falls, of success and failures,
And memories consist of the life you lived.

Don’t give the past a chance to mourn.
Times you live today, will soon be gone.
Will leave back nothing but traces of feelings and faces,
Thus, smile and give away smiles, forget the regrets, the anguishes and the Pains.
Cause, until the time has passed, after the present becomes the past
Only then will the history reveal the mystery and only then will the sorrows make sense.
