Memories Poem by oceanna lary

Memories

As i sit in this empty hallway,
And think upon all the moments,
That we were able to share.
My heart is full of happiness that won't fade till the end of the day,
It feels good to know that someone actually cared.

Stuck in my mind in on memory,
At the thought of it my eyes fill with tears,
I can remember it like it was yesterday.
Remembering the good times are key,
It's only gotten harder over the years,
I start to weep as the memory starts to fade away.

Fright begins to fill my heart,
The tears of joy turn to sadness,
You were my best friend.
Now our relationship has fallen apart,
The part of my life that you filled is now now nothingness,
They say that everything has to come to an end.

You were there for me,
And i you,
We were inseparable.
How can i be,
I'm no longer aloud to see you,
To have another friend like you i am not capable.

Very profound and emotional poem of something that haunts all of us when fragmentation takes place. Touching.
