Memories And Photographs Poem by Charley Staines

Memories And Photographs

One encounter that meant so much,
The stories, the memories, all filled with love,
The years came and quickly passed by,
Through them all, you were right by my side,
I still recall the first day that we met,
Not a day since then have I felt regret,
The good times when we worried for nothing at all,
The few bad times when you never let me fall,
We laughed together, cried together,
Promised eachother this friendship was forever,
There would no mountain too high, nor ocean too deep,
That a drunken night out was out of reach,
So we hugged goodbye and took our separate paths,
All that we were, reduced to memories and photographs.
