Memories Of A Religion Poem by Deb Panda

Memories Of A Religion

One evening, beyond those crystal hillsides-
Rests my thoughts, away from the world,
Of woes and despair, deeply entrenched
With her arrive, fire-works of descending horizon.

Forgotten, the religion enshrined with,
When I was welcomed –mirth of cry-
Thunders! Storming ahead, looming over hope-
To alight upon her- smile, Lord’s decree!

I owe! From top to toe-
To sing the beauty of her creation,
With no rhythm, no lyrics- they perceive
Democracy thy virtue, dreams don’t wane!

Sing, with thy heart, pouring with ecstasy-
At thy creation; mirthful lyrics aloud when
My days pass with the river, in full moon tide-
Ravages lie immortal; Humanity is my Religion!
