Memories Of My Broken Heart Poem by Alexander Foald

Memories Of My Broken Heart

Against the wall, I lean on my shoulder
Being tired of breaking down the law of nature
Maybe it’s not something I should understand
More like, my heart is at its loosest stance

Can I have your heart cut and torn apart?
For the sake of this relationship we’ve created
Ambiguity and disillusion are our friends every night
And believe me, there are more reasons waiting to be said

Because you’re not mine, now and forever
And our hearts never connected to each other
Overcome this and I will let you go within time
Far away from my indignant perceptive mind

But memories, don’t fade from me now
Memories of my broken heart, let me feel this sorrow
If the day should turn to night and I still don’t feel alright
Please let me remember her once more to say goodbye
