Memories That Remain Poem by Jacinta Nevis D'souza

Memories That Remain

Rating: 5.0

There are memories that cant be forgotten,
but never also can be forgiven.
They come to you as a phase of life,
but cut you till the depth like a sharp knife.

As time waits for no man, life has to carry on,
but memories always remain of what is gone.
Life is a rose of good memories and of thorn,
but to the fullest of what i have i shall adorn.

Wanted to dungeon the time that passed,
but nor came in my hand copper or brass.
Never thought the opposite side would be the grass
but the river in between the land i couldnt pass.

Tried to grow the fruit without sowing,
how could failure come with loving.
Never did i ever think before giving,
how couldnt god help me before taking.

Living in the present how could my future just slip,
how my did my dreams take a turn a deep dip.
But the faith in god will my days a ahead flip,
a lesson to learn is on my heart written by lifes nib.
