Memory Mummies Poem by John Sensele

Memory Mummies

When memories murmur in your head
And memories swerve and unnerve your bed
Both concepts and precepts dare to shout aloud
At long last you can save us on Google Cloud
Chimes of change have rung, rung, rung
There's no need for you to be highstrung
For a new day, a new chapter opens
A new chapter to honour the might of pens
Pens that for too long they suppressed
Pens that every turn they oppressed
Suffocating coats of every cream idea
Every cream idea they shot down, my dear
Worry not ever again for the die is cast
The die is cast, the die repels the past
The past that no longer matters
The past that your pen scatters
And memories although hurting
Are no longer worth blurting.
