Message From Nature Poem by rashmi pradeep kumar

Message From Nature

Rating: 4.0

A cool breeze stole towards the cat
As she slept soundly in the pale moonlight,
She jumped awake and sat still
An eerie silence filled the air.

The breeze brought the message -
Here come the rains! !

A strong wind blew around her
It made her shiver, ‘made her quiver,
She crept into the garden to investigate it
But here too the silence followed her.

The wind carried the message -
Here come the rains! !

A flash of lightning scared her
Its brilliance blinded her,
She shrank back into the shadows
The silence still prevailed.

The lightning brought the message -
Here come the rains! !

A roll of thunder followed the lightning
The deafening sound scared her further,
Her fear made mew softly
The silence was momentarily broken.

The thunder brought the message -
Here come the rains! !

As the thunder died away, a soft sound -
Pitter-patter-pit, pitter-patter-pit –was heard,
It soothed her soul and made her happy
The silence was at last broken.

The raindrops announced -
The rains have arrived! !

The cat slept soundly through the night
Feeling the raindrops on her face and
The cool breeze blowing around her,
She woke up only when, the Sun
Shone his bright rays on her face.

She went into the garden and lay there
The soil smelt fresh as if,
It’d been washed clean by the rain
This made her feel rejuvenated.

The soil bore the message -
The rains visited us last night! !
