MY DREAM
I had a beautiful dream,
Where I live, in
A house as white as cream.
At my beck and call,
There were maids and butlers
In the bedrooms and hall.
I slept on a golden bed,
With glittering bedcovers
In shades of blue and red.
At dawn the birds sing,
Outside my window
Twittering, like bells on a string.
Suddenly, there’s darkness outside,
And droplets of water
Pelt at my side.
I open my eyes to see,
My Mom beside me;
A mug of water in her hand,
Shaking me and asking me to stand.
