mirrored
in the lake of life,
the ugly duckling, posed
pouted with poise, trying to be
distinctive, different and defiant
then the other ones.
it preened its feathers,
flapped its wings
to be noticed.
showing antics and loops
in the water, looking deep.
she metamorphised,
with a new identity,
of being a beautiful swan.......
the dark days of being ugly,
left behind!
looking at her own reflection,
in the pool of hers beloveds eyes,
she blushed and swam away.
but trapped in the lake
of eternal love,
swirling the pool, with ripples
o f joy.
