Meteors Poem by Ronald Chapman

Meteors

All stars command clear night!
Moon has said goodnight.

Rise swiftly like a fiery streak stormy flickering lightning,

Meteors fall;

Fall like small suns,
Fall quietly like a fast rock.

Meteors endure like dying candles,
Fireworks in the sky!

They sail quietly speeding faster than the wind.
Beauty is a long burn...

All dust burns deadly; showers turn cold.

Why does the shower die?
Beautiful meteors fall...
