Last night they talked about it.
We all prayed so hard it hurt!
I guess it worked cause out my door
there's not a speck of dirt!
The snow has buried everything
that once was in our yard.
Our dog gets lost when he goes out.
(Perhaps we prayed too hard!)
Michigan and snow days........
the two go hand in hand.
We went to sleep while God was making
his winter wonderland.
We watch the list of closings
with eager little eyes.
Then finally.......... they said our school!
Oh you should hear their cries!
The whoops and hollars fill the house
cause now we're all awake.
Let's hop into our snowsuits.
There is so much we can make!
The snow forts and the snowmen
will now occupy our day.
There's really nothing better
than a Michigan Snow Day!
Well darling very nice winter poem, but I think if you goto Canada upstate you'll see the snow piles up as high as the corn cobs were in the summer have a nice weekend dave xxx
Mary, when it comes to snow days, you can never pray too hard. A 'cool' poem though... I liked it! Brian
I know I put a double apostrophe after the 10 but when I submitted, it turned into one. I meant inches not feet. avr
We got 10' here. It is so beautiful to look at and this poem takes me back to when I was young. avr
For once at last Paradise in this very moment what a blessing of memory still with you in your secret heart
I think Detroit got six inches. Mary, that does not make me happy! But I hope you and the kids have a great time!

Delightful poem, Mary - you made me share in your excitement! By the way, here in New Hampshire, we're having a snow day, too - we're really getting dumped on. Hey, I think Michigan sent it here... thank you! Love, CJ
