Middle Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Middle

Ain't nothing you say that would change now
bracing myself for the road we will go down
Can't risk passion that brings us no pleasure
Do you think I think the pain is worth the hassle?

and i'm like No
this can't go ahead

It's a little too late
price is at a value too great
So see what you are selling
Isn't up for purchase
this can not be auctioned
somethings can not be auctioned
when the worth is too precious
it's not a matter of black and white
we're in the zone
Smack dab in the middle

Caught in a wave after feeling the heat
so furious, winds swept me off my feet
and time just was not so sweet
darker than that of night

I've been here before
Have no qualms with saying goodbye
I can just let it go
Why try to avoid it?
Can't listen to what people say
Because they feel we should stay
If only they knew how bad it was
no, they never seen it
It doesn't make it right
it's really no one's business
love had a moment
until it withered and died
