Mighty In The Heart Poem by Wade Fox

Mighty In The Heart

On the outside so humble and weak I stand,
Wondering how much longer I will be here in the sand,
Watching the crushing waves smash and beat the shore,
I can't help to notice that it all moves away from the core,

Forever forgotten and ignored,
My only friend was in my Lord,
Nothing am I on the outside nor am I or so smart,
But only one thing I know is that I am might in the heart,

I see so much more than those around me,
I will stand and protect if I see,
I will rise up from my lonely seat and fight for what I believe is right,
And no matter the outcome, it would be worth the fight,

I don't expect to be who you want me to be,
Because all I am is just me,
But I know I'm mighty in the heart,
Even if I have to get off to a slow start.
