Mighty To Save Poem by Brooke Nofer

Mighty To Save

My mother wrapping me up so warm and holding me close
The grasp of strong but gentle hands as me dad bounces me on his lap
The love I feel when I am wrapped in His embrace
You and I waiting, searching, cyring for a child that will never come
The laughs we have shared and the tears we have shed only graze the surface of our love.
The pain and anguish on you face as I slowly drift away, hurts me the most
I will always be close, watching waiting working so you can have someone to love again
This dark and desolate pit I am lowered into is my body's not my soul's grave
Will you laugh at all the good times we had? Will you forget about the bad? This is what it means to be loved by He who is mighty to save
