Mine Poem by Shruti Goswami

Mine

You are yours
And I am still mine
Once upon a time
No, I am mistaken
It was too sublime
So once upon a timeless speck
When I was yours
And you were mine
We parted ways
And promised to be fine
I did not know
What was in store
Love impregnated
The virgin mind
The heart was gone
To redefine
The tiny speck
That bloomed as time.

I was gone
And so were you
The fragments of time
That carried your soul
Belonged to me
They still are mine.
