Minor Words Poem by Serkan Sürer

Minor Words

Rating: 5.0

The explosions were the last sunlight to see
Loud and louder, guns were the same as funeral songs for me
At the begining I was told that I would be hero
Now I’m taken home as less than zero
Wish I had known the contract that i signed with the devil
Was upon my body and soul
I wonder all those things were worth trying?
Forget it! Still I feel that your face has a snake smiling
Besides does a martyr care that he never worn your money-green uniform
While god has someting better to fit him in the wardrobe of heaven?
It became such a code of honor: always fall, for a moment rise
Disguise for a million cries
These're minor words of a soldier
Or devil's misfortuner
Keep going on your sleep in comfort Sir!
Your victory is won
But my life is gone
