Mirage Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Mirage

Rating: 5.0

Don't waste your time on me
Don't look at the mirror before
You come to meet me
Don't take me seriously in mind
Don't give me a place in your heart

I am not the oasis you are looking for
I am not the shelter for a bereaved heart

Don't come to my door seeking love
Don't watch me from a distance
Don't sing loudly song of love in the
Sultry afternoon to win my heart

I am not a nest for you perch in
I am not a flower for you to be its fragrance

Don't put letters between pages of my book
Don't smile from crowds when we meet
Don't wear dresses of my choice
Don't put flowers in hair when it is spring

I am not the bird to be cared and loved
I am not the dream that ever comes true

A sad poem from a hurting soul... but can you not share what caused this hurt? For that special someone to whom you addressed this poem, To keep on wondering at the cause of your hurt is even more hurtful than to know the real reason for your pain. You need to confess up.
