Mirror Poem by Patrick J. Hymer

Mirror

Do I see what is in front of me and realize,
it's reflection?
Or just that one's vision may be limited for
thought of mind?
I've learned so much and have more to
consume in every direction.
But when if this is all my mind can find?
There is so much more to life, and giving this
experience to others. would be kind.
But all must learn to able one's self to reach
perfection.
And to feel serenity and learned, fulfilled for
all is in the mind.
For all to realize, I see myself and can feel
the emptiness deep inside,
That it's just a mirror or a reflection of my
ideas and thoughts that I should abide
Seeing is believing, but what that thought,
can conceive,
At a time one's self is not in the person. or
thoughts aside,
Is a distinct possibility all my not believe.
But that mirror can bend, and the sight is not
a guide.
At this time it's just a reflection and I will
retrieve.
But believe what I SAW, use my ideas and
thought, that I shall abide!
Can I say to further the point, after a few to
drink,
Looking at that mirror, my ideas and
thoughts, leads me to be inferior,
And to other's to see that I have let myself
sink.
No longer can I even see myself in that same
mirror.
