Mirror Image Poem by Alexander Parra

Mirror Image

Back stabbing personalities,
My mind weighs in,
A decision to label a rival or to call you a friend,
An internal battle rages within,
An epic battle between love and sin,
Just as battlefields lie in ruins, my sanity lies slain,
Can I trust someone who only causes pain,
Do I give in to the madness in my brain or resist and continue this devastating game,
Even now as I gaze into the mirror resisting this rhythm of pain,
I gander at my reflection and only see shame.
