Misdiagnosis Poem by Ella Veyes

Misdiagnosis

The complex of dysphoria,
Just keep on defining death.
Can you show me where hurts worse?
Are you still dreaming in reverse?

Document your silence,
Call it chronicles of faith.
Turn that dial to reset,
Are you feeling real yet?

Have some elixir on the rocks,
Just pray that there's a God.
There's no drug can make you whole,
Who drew the chalk-lines of your soul?

Love without an existence,
Is it reality without touch?
Until forever is unfurled,
For want of a better world.

Can't you hear that ceasefire?
You're hiding subliminal heaven.
Sketch it all onto your skin,
Wait for the clockwork to give in.

There's no-one to wait for,
You can't recreate eternity.
See that Heaven-less skyline,
See, you're doing just fine.
This nothing isn't everything,
Why aren't you crying?
You've cut your own lifeline,
You're doing just fine.
