Misguided Hearts Poem by Katheryn Foley

Misguided Hearts

You made me bleed, You made me cry,
You made me hurt and die inside,
Left the shovel at the bottom,
Of this cavity I called my heart,
A barren cave an empty hole,
What I once called my soul,
A sculpture crumbles to the ground,
we try to patch the pieces found,
But it will never be the same,
With everyone to blame,
We have to reshape this picture,
To fit a new frame,
A friendship that will mend itself in time,
Forgiveness given to those who were blind,
For who is really to blame? ,
And how else can we defeat the shame? ,
A misguided heart full of love,
Torn from her body, no where to go,
Fixed on a broken world,
She wanted to heal what she thought,
Was worth all the stars in the sky,
But she too was blind,
By beauty and a hopeful heart,
Covered up the darkness,
She didn't know he faced,
For she loves and he does not know how to be loved
