Miss You Poem by Miri AMR

Miss You

I awake, oh goodness sake, I think of you.
I make an effort to recollect what I need to do.
I take a breath, get out of bed, before I know it
I feel like death, as once again its all in vain,
without me thinking, I said your name.
I go to work, try to forget, can't concentrate.
I take a breath, and try again, but it's useless,
it's just too late. I'm powerless, I'm so inept.
I can't stop thinking, can't obliterate, or put away,
those memories, that retrospection,
and your reflection, won't go away.
What should I do? What can be done?
This pain, so intense, but I can't run,
I can't see the sun, this cloud is dense.
There's no sense weeping, while my heart
is seeping, just need to get through the day.
I miss you terribly, night and day, but
there was nothing left to say, there was just
no other way.
