Missing Poem by Chris Townsend

Missing

Rating: 5.0

Time taken thoughts unbounded into an empty spot
A place where my mind expands into universes I need to be,
I think today that things are supposed to be as they are
Simplicity uncaged into little photographs, images of me,

I take steps I look into a looking glass
Things that don’t seem as they should be,
Just little pictures nothing to move
Plenty of new subjects, that I can see,

Rotations my breath small spasms of life
That protect the inner sanctum, my ring of fire,
As I look in depth three sided dimensions
With a taste of cloak and dagger inner most desire,

I face towards the east through a locked door
A place where I rest my soul,
This person this image this feeling
None to take its toll,

So push me shove show me how you're so strong
To prove me weak,
Then look from under your fingers
Go on take a peak,

You will see a smile from someone
Who only remembers how the past felt great,
But I won't ask you to take this journey
Self-awareness not something you can relate,

Let these torn pictures these images strewn
all over your lounge's floor,
Make up for the loss the missing
All the things you should ignore…
