Missing You Poem by Braylah Anderton

Missing You

It starts in my head
When I begin to miss you
Overthinking into depression..
It travels to my eyes
Causing hallucinations
Of all the happy times we shared together
Then to my lips
When soft to the touch
Remember our first kiss and every one after
Then to my chest
Where my heart fills with warmth
Then begins to ache from all the pain.
And lastly, before my body fails
It fills my soul
Causing me to remember every touch
And every single spot you placed your hands.
And even after my body has failed,
My head repeatedly shows your face.
I see you laying on a hospital bed
How helpless you were.
How you grabbed my hand and said,
'I love you.'
This is why I can't forget you.
