As time goes by
I miss you more
not less as people said
you left my life
but not my heart
and certainly not my head

You left too soon
life was too short
no time for last goodbye's
no mothers love
or fathers strength
to dry my teary eyes

You missed the birth
of my every child
you never saw them grow
your loving arms
and wisdom words
are things they will never know

I raise them well
as I was taught
I hope this makes you glad
and hope I make you proud of me
I love and miss you mom and dad
