Mist Poem by Scarlett Voight

Mist

Thick fog covers my eyes,
Yet fear has left me
Deluded light is my only reassurance in this blue mist
Sparks of electricity, tug, at my hands-
Warning me.
I'm dressed in white flowers tainted
With drops of my own unclean blood
I walk towards someone as...
Tears drip? - down
A man is there completely covered in gray and yellow mist,
Like the sun fighting to be seen
Through rain clouds.
My stomach twists, my heart aches
As he approaches me
Looking up I can only see his eyes
Uncertainty fills them, curiosity and perhaps
Fear drives them
His eyes speak little
Leaning down his lips kiss my collarbone
Just once
I stagger back, but he grabs my wrist. Kindly.
His face becomes slightly unveiled, but recognition fails me.
Setting a small fire in my heart,
Unkowing to myself
He grins foolishly, turns and walks away
No words were exchanged
Dare-
I follow?
To trust this mysterious man?
Dark words distrub my lips and betray me
I walk after, and dissapear into the mist
My heart growing brighter with each pound.
