Mister President Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Mister President

Rating: 5.0

Mister President
Maybe just maybe
You're not a racist
Nor supremacist
Not an atheist
Not an egoist
Not divisive
Not dangerous

Mister President
Maybe just maybe
Your sense of fake news
Media versus you
You're not the enemy
Them bastards killing you
Challenging your ego
Always bullying you

Mister President
Maybe just maybe
You're privileged white
Your tan just masking
Your sick damn whiteness
Your anger masking
Your low self-esteem
Not intelligence
Just aggressiveness

Awesome! Yes for somebody born with privileges, it is hard to see the thorns that others walk on.

I can hear Marilyn..the voice is faint. It's in the background....but there's certainly one president who deserves the Happy Birthday offering of 'Mister President'. Awesome verse, Richard.

Very well written Richard, I so totally agree with everything you have said about any President. Sometimes I think and feel that when they get into the limelight. Their ego's are even bigger than they all bargained for. They say they will all do good, then eventually they show forth their true colors.

In total agreement, Eva Mae. Tragically, those egos very often come at the expense of multitudes.
