Misunderstanding Poem by Rik Bertrand

Misunderstanding

I am an honest man, ahead of my time
I cry when situation warrants,
And I know that love is divine.

You mock, and I smile for you
For you misunderstand
And you know not what you do.

I do not ask for more than I need
I have nothing to hide,
And I would never deceive.

Life holds us all in contempt
We are under Gods eye,
None of us is exempt.

Life has meaning for us all
We just need to find it,
Have faith stand up tall.

Through my life I have been crawling
But now my hearts warming,
For I have found my calling.

Beauty has descended from heaven
My eyes have foreseen love,
My soul is unleavened

I smile for you
For you misunderstand
And you know not what you do.
I smile for you.

REB (July 2012) sometimes people read into things too much, this poem is about understanding that misunderstanding is part of life. So be it, I smile for you, for I love you all.
