Mitya - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Mitya - Lincoln Park Zoo

An Amur leopard, that is me.
I am called Mitya and am male.
Lincoln Park Zoo is where I be.
Born in 2000, cute with tale.
Very endangered my kind are.
So glad to be ambassador
To help my family off far
In Asia, to be in wild more.
My coat is varied golden shade,
Covered with dark spots called rosettes.
I'm well fed here, but instincts stayed -
The hunt. The Zoo allows no pets.

The Lion House - on the southwest.
Come see me prowling at my best.
