Mixed Messages

Different voices spinning,
Around in my head,
Different voices,
Mixing together,
To make one sentence,
Voices from different people,
Angry people,
Happy people,
And sad people,
You lie in bed trying,
to make sense of what it's saying,
And before you know it it's morning,
You've been kept awake,
By these voices,
How do you shut them up?
All of this just makes,
you feel confused and upset,
Maybe angry with yourself,
You want to tell someone,
About it but you dont think,
they will understand,
So you just lye quietly,
And hide all of this,
And pretend it never happened,
And hope it all goes,
Away one day

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
