Mixed Up Poem by Ima Ryma

Mixed Up

Home of the brave, land of the free
Is said to be the U.S.A.
We the People, all peoples be.
A nation of laws, people say.
But laws be passed by people, so
Some laws be good, some laws be bad,
Some rights too high, some wrongs too low.
Do We still have what We have had?
We have peoples from all worldwide,
Who want the dreams that We make real,
As generations lived and died.
To the whole world, We have appeal.

We the People, We be diverse.
Will We be better or be worse?
