Moderated Happiness Poem by T. M. Isaac

Moderated Happiness

You said it left you happy-sad,
the words resounding vaguely;
Yet, not for green vistas glad
with the touch of the sun, red
and radiant and sunken partially,
but for the way in which it slightly
graced your ears with unheard
before emotion that have fled
through the lines and seemed to mend
your heart a little; a soothing hand
that touched your soul, lightly –
you said it left you happy-sad,
These words resounding vaguely.
