Modern Relics Poem by Alexandre Nodopaka

Modern Relics

Lifting vestiges from a cemetery
I confiscate dental artifacts
from entombed mouths

Each tooth is an art object
preserved untold millenniums
proving our carnivorian issue

I organize and catalog
building my genealogy
like a card castle tower

with ivory and gold fangs
that foraged eons
into our evolutionary carnality
