Mom Taught Me Poem by Conley Murray

Mom Taught Me

Mom you taught me as a lad,
to always be kind, and never talk bad.

You taught me to always stay away,
from those that would lead me astray.

You taught me to never tell a lie,
because someday I was going to die.

You taught me to know right from wrong,
and you often sing to me a good gospel song.

You taught me to read my bible everyday,
and you taught me how to pray.

You taught me to always walk the straight and narrow way,
because someday I was going to face judgment day.

Mom I know you are in heaven today,
because you taught me all the right way.
