Moments In Remembrance Poem by Leaking Pen

Moments In Remembrance

You paint skies with anger
Days turn into nights
I paint my version with laughter
Bright Sun surfaces again

Taste of sugar and honey
Wherever my tongue lands
Yours salt and vinegar.
Our constitutions so far apart

Onions peel my eyes discreetly
Whenever we disagree
Garlic sides with you boldly
Grounding your hits

Why does my soft sand?
Border your rogue wave
When you crash blindly
My sight erodes proportionally

You lured me to your oasis
To ice my sweaty forehead
My seed jumped the queue
To shelter in your shade

Lusting for your trap
Forever sealed my fate
A fool hoping for coal
Reverting to diamond again

When your tornado subsides
And calmness your beauty restores
I remember why in Love I fell
The day our hearts intertwined

This moment of remembrance
Means the world to me
I measure happiness…. These days
One second at a time.
