Monster Poem by Amanda Riddle

Monster

Their screams come from everywhere.
I look around trying to find them.
Its to dark.
I turn on my little flashlight.
It omits a single beam.
It falls on the floor. Slowly I move it
around the room. It gently touches
everything in one smooth move.

The big rocking chair thats over
100-years-old.
The big dresser thats locked tightly,
with noe cloths inside.
The glass cabinet that holds all the
eyeless porcline dolls.
The closet with no doors, just
hooks and rods.
The bed thats turned on its side
with the bottom to the wall.
The lonley corner, with cobwebs galor.
The celing fan thats never moved.
The whole in the wall,
thats been taped tightly shut.

The light goes out. I saw noone.
'Imlosing my mind.' I say
'No your not.' Someone replies
I jumped to my feet. Scared for my life.
I feel its breath, like a cool breaze
on a hot summers night.
It touches my arm with its cold claws.
It smiles at me with sharo razor blades.
It whispers to me, 'Don't be afraid.'
I thighten my mucles, and slowly pull away.
It pushes me down and tightens its grip.
Its rubber tounge licking it's lips.
It moves in for the deadly kiss.
I close my eyes and grit my teeth.
I hold my breath and I hear my heart beat.
I wait and I wait for a whole
minute and a half.
ThenI hear its jaw pop and I smell
its fishy breath.
Oh God hear it comes.
Goodb......
