Monsters Poem by Michael Douglas Hummel

Monsters

Rating: 5.0

There! there! there! from the damned dark and stillness comes
growing undulations of blue and green
subtle variances of some projected thing
pushing ever forward...

rise! rise! rise! from mercurial waters of the deep
a quickening replete with triton storm
a backbone thickening within the form
towering ever upward...

boom! boom! boom! heralds a harbinger of doom
while the wind pulls back wisps of watery skin
exposing the churning chaos deep within
echoing ever onward...
